THINKING OF GOING EYEFINITY!
So the title pretty much says it all I'm thinking of going eyefinity (triple monitors) and I wanted some honest feedback from people who
own or at least have regularly used a triple monitor workstation. Currently I have a iiyama 27" monitor that outputs at 1920x1080 and
I'm thinking of buying 2 more mainly for gaming. What I want to know is it worth it and how well will my games run?
THE SPEC'S
Now I know you need my spec's so here's the run down
Motherboard: Asus P6T
RAM: 9GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz (9-9-9-24)
CPU: i7 920 @ 4Ghz
GPU: Crossfired 5870's (Gen 1)
PSU: Silverstone Strider 850Watt
GENERAL INFORMATION
I have a desk big enough for 3 monitors and I currently have a dual monitor set-up with a 22" which is very useful when it comes to
watching movies on one screen and chatting/web browsing on the other it also works brilliantly when using photoshop I can have a
render on one screen and be shooping on the other.
Games I play:
Crysis
Cryisis 2
Counter Strike Source
Team Fortress 2
Call of duty (MW2, BO, COD4)
Star Craft 2
Portal
Portal 2
GTA IV
Battlefield 2
Battlefield bad company 2
etc..
I understand that some demanding games like Crysis, Crysis2, BF:BC2 will slow down but by how much and will it become unplayable on
three monitors?
