My rams are currently corsiar PC5300XMLs, running along side a E6300 allandale, So what im thinking is, If i get a Q6600 will the RAM bottleneck my performance?

if so which ones shall i get to replace them?

And how much will i be albe to sell my CPU and Ram for..

My current set up

E6300 (lapped)
2Gb pc5300 (1Gb*2)
Asus P5W DH
8800 GTS 320 Mb
500W blue storm non mudular PSU,

Thankyou

ram will be fine i think. i assume the q6600 is 1333mhz so thats 333fsbdoubled to 667mhz for ddr2 ram. your ram id 667mhz so you could run it like that. obviou8sly if you want to overclock then you may need faster ram as will come point you wont be able to push your current ram past.

as far as bottenecks go..... i dont think so, but dont quote me on it.

Sale price... maybe £60-70 (could be less) for the C2D, god knows for the Ram.

I'v currently overclocked my CPU to 2.8GHz, not too high as my room gets pretty hot at times,

Will i notice much differnce if the quad core was stock?

I play a lot of Gmod, which i believe is a lot of calculations for the CPU, so will i notice much differnce in Gmod? (and other games loading times)

Its a 1066MHz chip, same old fsb, 266.

If you want to run a G0 stepping on a P5W you'll need to use a beta bios that lots of people are having trouble with, 2205.
