Do I buy another 470
or
Do I sell my 470 & get 2 460s?

I want the best bang for buck, not sure if it'd be cheaper to sell then buy the 2 or just buy a new 470. Also I think heat maybe a prob with the 470s in SLI but not sure...

Its a tricky one... the 460 hits the sweet spot for optimal SLI scaling, but GTX470 SLI put up quite a bit better numbers - but the gains over 460 SLI aren't great value for money (your talking approx. 40% more money for barely 20% higher performance).

Thats why i'm stuck

SLI can be a headache, sometimes it works other times it causes more problems then it solves.

Hit and miss.

Stick with 470, wait for next gen which will probably work better and come close to beating an SLI set-up anyway.

The 460s are looking very good, I was tempted to downgrade myself, although I ended up buying a gpu loop for the 470s instead. One thing you'll definitely notice if you do get another 470 is a large increase in noise, although that may seem obvious, I was pretty shocked by it, the performance is excellent though and that's what counts.

Just wait and save up for another 470 - they should go down in price too as there won't be as much demand.
460SLI benchmarks look incredible on paper/website, but I haven't seen it to say that it doesn't cause micro stuttering or anything like that...

get a 470 they ok on air and never seem to reach more than 75c on gaming maybe 80c on a game that really pushes it thats at 70% fan

460's waste of time they might clock the the high clocks but they never going to match 470's at the same clock speed

im @ 875 core a 460 would have to clock to @ least 1Ghz to equal my 470

and what is every on still going on about micro stuttering never seen it me self crossfire or sli surley drivers have dealt with this by now or use v sync
