Thinking of investing in a console which to get ps4 or xbox one ?

I know its a matter of choice but I need a but of help, ive not had a since 2007.
ive been gaming on the pc mostly but the choice of games is dying. the last game i enjoyed was elder scrolls

I want to make the most use of it.
which has good features, good console exclusives.
online gaming.

If in no rush wait for E3 in June, seems like both MS and Sony will announce new revisions

I didn't know one could invest in a console. I thought it was just a luxury entertainment device like everything else that has a short development lifespan.

Aren't games consoles now a disposable electrical item you purchased with disposable income ??

But then, I guess if for example you buy a PS4 and buy games on PSN then you are in some ways invested into the whole ECOSYSTEM of say Sony..

Depends on how much you spend on games, digital purchases etc... I buy games for PC on Steam and buy games for consoles on PSN which means I've invested into Valve and Sony I guess.

I would stick with a PC if the choice was getting better, but since the new consoles came our its been MS exclusive this and sony exclusive that.

Even MS is not in interested in keeping its promise unless you buy a xbox to use with the PC, which really was the only reason I upgraded to windows 10

- Whichever has your friends playing on it
- The one which you prefer the exclusives

Nothing else really matters imo, both have their benefits apart from the gaming but I only use both consoles for games.

If you plan to play with friends, get the console that most of your friends have.

If that's not important, pick that console that has the most games you want to play.

And if you are still undecided after that, then, I would say shop around for the various console deals and whichever console has the best deal at purchase time, buy that one.

Everything points to Sony and MS releasing new hardware with upgraded specs this year. I wouldn't buy in to either right now.

If looking at games i like, other have good exclusives, sony has one of my fav uncharted and so does ms with halo and Forza

I have both and much prefer the PS4. UI is better and games run better on it. I rarely use my Xbox One.
I wouldn't worry about these so-called better spec consoles as I doubt that games will be optimised for them. A lot of people think the PS4 is only getting an upgrade so it can run VR properly.

That could be in all honesty the truth with it all..

Me personally if you've got a good spec PC then play the newer xbox titles on the PC as Windows Store seems to be getting all the good xbox titles anyhow and grab a PS4 for uncharted 4 and all the Sony titles.

Best of both worlds with minimal outlay.

xbox games on windows, I always thought I needed a xbox to play them, it was a bit confusing with xbox live on the game image.
