Sony fan boy through and through :p but I have to say it that I think the PS3 ****ed up big time. Looking at the games the 360 has compared to the PS3 I think there is only one choice.

People have said wait a few months, or maybe even 12, and watch the titles roll out but surely the 360 will have bigger and better games out in 12 months time too?

Im really not fussed about a blue ray player, or a HD DVD for that matter, as I havent even got an HD TV (yet).

And on top of the above the 360 price is much more attractive too.

Yours a sad but soon to be happy, Mark :D

I have similar feelings about my PS3 too. If it wasn't for the Blu-ray player, which is excellent, it would have been sold months ago. You won't regret purchasing a 360 - Live is excellent, there's plenty of decent games and a whole load on the way.

The 360 is a fantastic console with a great range of games already here and a good prices can be had on software if you shop around, you really wont regret getting one. :)

May I put a counter argument?

If you don't currently have an HDTV, why not put the money you've saved for the 360 towards a nice HDTV? You don't need an HDTV to play a 360 (or a PS3 for that matter) but the difference in quality is well worth the price. Indeed, some 360 games (such as Dead Rising) more or less require that you have an HDTV, since the in-game text is too small to be read in standard-def.

I agree, TV first, i wouldnt play my 360 on an SDTV in would be akin to sacrilege, you can get a 26" hd no name job for a few hundred quid.

I got a 32" HDTV last week for ~£250, it was B-Grade stock but is as in new condition and the 360 looks superb on it :)

I agree though, couldn't imagine playing on an SDTV, but if you don't know any different then it might not be an issue. The 360 is still impressive over a decent SCART connection.

Damn, £250?! I want one! Can you say where from?

Can you say where from?

Not here! :p

Bear in mind it was B-Grade, but like I said it was totally as new. They normally have them at various prices, depending on condition. Think they had some today at £216 inc, but it was missing stuff like the manual. Mine was £254, but came in the original box, had the manual and the remote was brand new.

Only downside to the set is that the speakers are rubbish, so I had to connect an external pair up. Picture is very good though.

I'd rather get an Xbox 360 and run on SDTV rather than stick being bored with the games on the PS3 with a decent HDTV. Personally.

Exactley why Im keeping mine! I never play on my PS3 im always on my 360! Ive not even got one friend on my Playstation ha ha ha!

That's the other prob. All my gaming mates have a 360 and none have a PS3. I log onto the PSN and it seems quite devoid of life.

A few decent games could turn things round completely, and I don't mean fillers like RFOM or Motorstorm. The PS3 needs to cracking games right now.

i used to have a 360, traded it in for a ps3, 3 months later deeply regretted it so sold my ps3 lol, might be buying another 360 soon.

360 all the way my friend.

Ive got a cheque coming my way in October which is going to be spent on a nice Samsung LCD but in the mean time my copper jar is at bursting point with the best part of a 360 in there :D

I'd say over the next 12 months Xbox360 seems to have the stronger line up too.

Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Gran Turismo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4 remain the only 4 games that get me all hot and bothered.

After seeing recent Mario Galaxy footage the Ratchet and Clank media that impressed me so much a while back seems quite dull now. My hopes rest on Team Ico.
