Firstly is there anyone who owns/has owned one of these modded it in anyway to add more fans?

I just feel the airflow is very poor.

I have moved my HDD into my CD drive bays and bungeed it, so making it nice and silenced.

I plan on cutting away the HDD enclosure in order to get more air into the main bit of the case, then maybe add a fan on the side / top of the case.

If i was to do this would this dramatically increase the noise coming from the case? bearing in mind the 'case fans' will be some spare 120mm ambers i have lying around modded to 7v.

Many Thanks

I just feel that the HDD case is stopping so much air from the front fan getting in, so before i acctually go ahread and chop the acctual case i will remove some of the metal stopping the air getting in.

I think this will increase airflow a lot more, if not i will go ahead with the other mods.

Will post pics up as and when :)

well i have done it, and what a result!

cut out the bit in the HDD bay, moved the HDD into the CD rom slots and bungee'd it into place so thats nice and silent now

Cant believe how much difference it has made with temps, before with all my fans running on 12v (HSF also) i was getting 45 - 47ish idle and close to 60 100% load

now i have all fans running on 7v even my HSF and now i get 39 idle and 48 100% load.

This is with a conroe clocked to 3.15ghz

As mentioned in another thread there are other tricks i could do to the big typhooon to help get even better cooling, so may give these a go :)
