Thinking of moving to Sky BB

I'm currently with UKFSN and have absolutely no complaints, and in fact would recommend them to (almost) anyone.

However, my rural exchange has been enabled for Skys 20mb service but not BT ADSL2 (no forecast dates either). Combine that with the fact the Sky's price is half of UKFSN for a fully unlimited service and the potential to get a new SKy HD box for the Anytime + service (my current 1st gen Thomson box is very flaky and apparently will be upgraded free for Anytime +).

I currently get up to 6.5Mbps on ADSL Max and the line checker says that I'll get between 10 and 20 on Sky's service.

Before I do jump ship, I was wondering if anyone has experienced speeds dropping going from ADSL Max to Sky's service?

Also, I have looked (and asked Sky) but without getting a solid response...Do Sky traffic shape or port throttle at all?

Thanks.

Yes, it is LLU. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that it was as I was still on 512k when most of the country was on ADSL Max.

Saying that a mate of mine (near Midhurst) has just been informed that his connection is being downgraded to 512 as BT's tests have conformed that his line can't cope with 2Mbit and they do not have enough demand to install ADSL max. I think his exchange is either miles and miles away or serves about 3 people.

I moved from UKFSN to Sky and my migration was today. The exchange has just gone 21CN and ADSL2+ is due any time.

At the moment my speed is pretty much identical to what it was before.
