We've been with BlackBerry for years now and i'm now looking to move to iPhones, mostly due to the ability to start introducing apps into the business (several new systems i'm implementing have associated apps).

So i think my questions can probably be easily listed, if anyone could enlgighten me, i'd appreciate any input :D

1) BlackBerry (via a BES) is clearly seen as the most secure platform, but is using an iPhone via Exchange (presumably using HTTPS/SSL) any less secure? Are there any major downsides in using iOS compared to a BlackBerry?

2) Is there any loss of functionality, when it comes to Email/Calendars? (i.e. creating/responding to meeting requests, syncing sub-folders containing old items).

(This is perhaps a more specific question, but I thought I'd throw it in anyway!)
3) Clearly iOS has a much better selection of apps but when it comes to "vendor specific" applications (i.e. Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Lync), do iOS apps generally tend to have any less functionality compared to their native counterparts? (I'm thinking specifically accessing SharePoint and Lync functionality).

Thanks!

From a security point we have company iPhones and use mobile iron to secure the data and device. I can wipe anyones phone as long as its got signal. Plus the phones are tied into the domain so you need a domain login/password to get to any of our data. Not had any issues so far, seems as secure as the blackberry service so far.

My employer uses GOOD for enterprise to enable work emails on Android and iOS devices outside of the Blackberry network. Might be worth looking into?

Using ActiveSync you cannot set out of office replies,

ActiveSync via Exchange console allows remote wipe and security policies to be enforced.
