I would also check for student deals on Windows 7 too.

For gaming purposes I would also look for a better mouse though:

The only other way to go significantly lower would be the Core i5 750 build suggested earlier. TBH,if you are going for a single card setup that would be the more cost effective option. At stock speeds it is a bit faster for gaming due to the more aggressive Turbo Boost:

If you want to trim the price, this OEM version of Windows 7 is £15 cheaper than the Retail version.

Also, unless you plan on Crossfire in the future, the 650W PSU isn't required. The 550W version is £16 cheaper and more than enough to power the rig you just listed.

Just gonna compare to the i7 920 4.0GHz overclock bundle...

So for just £61 more, the bundle offers a CPU that's roughly 50% faster, faster RAMs, better CPU cooler and thermal paste...

If I was someone that doesn't know how to overclock or doesn't bother spending a whole day trying and testing, I think that £61 would be well worth it...

Also if I'm not mistaken, for bundles OcUK will the AS5 applied and CPU, CPU cooler and memory installed onto the motherboard before delivering, so save even more time on installation I guess?

You can use the upgrade version to do a complete, clean install without a previous OS existing.

Just start the install as normal: at the point where it asks you to enter the product key, leave it blank and click skip or enter later, and continue the installation.
Once it is installed, run windows update, get it fully updated.
Then enter the product key (my computer -> properties) and activate.

There are many webpages showing this process, and I used it with my recent windows 7 professional install from an upgrade disk. That cost me £40 since I'm a student.
