It looks like my OS needs re-installing, so now is a good time for a quick upgrade.

Current PC specs - http://jakg.ukct.net/Rig.html - (AMD Phenom 920, 8GB DDR800, ATi 4830)

Currently thinking...

2x2TB Seagate 7200.14 HDD's (+ 2x of my existing 1TB 7200.12's)
i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge (But I'm not sure which one - I was looking at something like the 3770k but reviews say the i5's can overclock to pretty much the same speed)
Not sure on the motherboard (Gigabyte G77-D3H seems ok - would like a decent motherboard to be able to overclock)
128GB SSD (Something like the Samsung 830 - not 100% sure which SSD to go for though)
16GB of RAM (not sure which kits are decent though)

Then keeping my existing ATi 4830, PSU (Hiper 670w), X-Fi and case. And running 7 and maybe upgrading to 8 when my copy arrives.

Is there anything better I could be buying?

What will be the main uses for the rig? Gaming? If so id get yourself a new you. Either the 7950 or 7850, depending on budget.

I would definitely get a new PSU. That brand isn't a great one.

I7 is not needed if not doing heavy video editing and such like. I5 is more than enough. The other choices look good. Do you need 4Tb though?

It's not for gaming (or at least, such light gaming my 4830 plays games fine).

I have 4TB atm and it's full, so I'd need to get some more HDD's at the same time.
