Thinking of upgrading to 8

I'm sure there is loads of these threads and i'm sorry for another but I want to upgrade to windows 8 as a few computers in my house already have it and it looks good and I also heard it runs a lot quicker then 7 HOWEVER I'm not sure what games are compatible with it? Or is that not a problem as I don't want to buy an upgrade then not be able to play any games :/

Any help would be great thanks.

Like any OS etc its down to drivers/hardware etc..I have thrown a lot of games at Win8 so probably easier if I just list the games I installed and tested Win8 with,

BG:EE
BG2(with mods)
Icewind Dale(with mods)
Icewind Dale 2(with mods)
KOTOR
KOTOR 2
Dishonored
Star Wars the Old Republic
Rift
SWG:EMU
Aion
Firefall beta
XCOM
Syndicate
Mass Effect 3
Guild Wars 2
Skyrim
Risen 2
Planetside 2
Civilization 4
Diablo 3
Witcher 2
Dragon Age
Dragon Age 2
Star Trek Online

Some of the above games are through Steam and Origin.

I have probably got some more installed but so far not encountered any issues with my games :) .

Btw using MSI 560Ti card and Asus Xonar DX soundcard.

Oh right great thanks for that mate! So I shouldn't have any game problems. I mainly play ArmA BF3 and GTA
