Thinking off getting Life Insureance

Hi all been thinking about getting lifeinsurence but i dont realy know any thing about it does any one here have it ? and how much do they rise the payments by each year? (a rough XX % will do)

I've also found acouple of places that charge double the rest but claim to not rise the payments this any good??

I feel so lost lol it was so much eayser doing the car

Detials are

Male 25 smoker
Female 26 NoN Smoker

needing 25K cover for 40 years

Im looking into it over the next year but quick look recently (from Norwich union) showed £100k over 5 years, 18, non smoker = £6.50 a month.

You can choose if you want it to be 'level' (which was the above quote) or the amount you need (and repayment) to go down each month for people who need it to cover mortages etc.

Ours is with Tesco. I tried to get it as cheap as I could to cover the mortgage but the minimum amount was £5p/m so I kept bumping up the payout until the monthlys increased then used that

Ended up being about £17k more than we need to cover the mortgage, so all is good

Ive gone moneysupermarket.com quoted £7.?? p/m or i could pay £29.?? and it never risies thought the term where as the £7 one does

Forgot to say i dont have a mortgage so dont need the money to cover that just got 3 kids and wanted them to have some thing when am not here
