Thinking on upgrading

I am thinking on upgrading from my GTX 295 to 2xGTX580's and was wondering if my rig could take it.

I have an antec 902 with a 750W corsair powersupply.
It is supplying the following components with juice already.
GTX295
i7920@4ghz Using a noctua D14
3 Sticks of corsair ddr3 2GB 1600Mhz (might up these to 4GB sticks but I doubt that will impact on power usage much)
5 HDD
1 Blu-ray reader

I'm thinking on using these.

I think your PSU might be able to get away with it but it's safer to go with a 1000w PSU as the 580 SLi is pretty power hungry. How about upgrading to one 580 first and see how it goes?

Nah I cant its really all or nothing as I know I'm not going to gain much performance over my current 295 with just one.

Actually even with just one GTX580, you will get much better minimum frame rate than you GTX295, and no more possible games SLI scaling or shuttering issue, so you should feel it's moticably smoother than your GTX295 in actual gaming.

How about just get one GTX580 and try it out first? If you are not happy, you could always send it back under USR and all you lose is the postage for sending it back.

GTX580 SLI is really pushing it on the 750W PSU...quite frankly I don't even think it's enough. If you don't want to upgrade your PSU, may be you could hold out your graphic upgrade toward the end of the year for the 28nm process graphic cards? There might be graphic cards of as quick, if not faster than the GTX580 out by then which consume much lesser power.
