Thinkpad R52 finger print reader

can the r52 finger print reader be used to protect folders? so that it asks for a finger print to access it?

not sure, but it would be good if it does.
i have a microsoft finger print reader and use it for all my logins(OCuK etc)
saves typing them in every time

i thought they where just for like windows log in if u can use it for web stuff tha would make things so easy I WANTS ONE!

I think they basically auto fill your password on the website (if there's one stored for it) and when you put the right thumb in it'll autofill it and login.

I'm guessing it would work fairly similar to the Mozilla Firefox password thing that you can make pop up before Mozilla automatically enters the password.
