Hi folks

I joined the site after seeing the pic thread on the ThinkPad X121e - I've just bought one so I guessed you'd be the right people to help me with a question...

I've got the intel one and put in 8gb of RAM from crucial, but I don't want to waste the capacity of the laptop with the various bloatware that comes installed.

I don't have a windows installation disk, so doing a clean install would seem like the more tricky option, but I'm quite happy to sit and spend time in control panel uninstalling programs.

My question is - which of the apps are good (the power manager *seems* pretty neat) and which of them are better off getting binned? Obviously I don't want to just uninstall programs and cause myself later issues.

Any help people can give would be great, so thanks in advance :)

Cheers for the reply

I saw on the thread about the X121e about people doing a clean install to remove a load of the programs that came pre-loaded. I think the power manager looks like a good program, but there's a lot of others (message centre, lots of trackpad stuff, some other lenovo software that doesn't look like drivers) and my task manager is showing about 90+ processes running which seemed a little high to me.
