First time venturing into this sub forum...be gentle with me.

I have a Claud Butler Cape wrath 2006 mountain bike and just started to get back into cycling after a few years off.

I'm really not doing any off-road stuff at all so I was just wondering if thinner road tires would make much noticeable difference?

Anyone here got thinner slicks on their MB is it worth it?

Don't go too thin on the slicks though, as you will go no faster and will be less comfortable.

I can recommend the Continental Sport Contact in 26x1.6. I moved to 26x1.6 after using 26x1.3 and it was much better. I even cycled from London to Bristol on my MTB (an On One Scandal) with them on.

I had some of those before the Continental tyres I mentioned. This is going back 5+ years, but I remember them have more of a V shape section than a round section, which made cornering a bit less progressive when leaning the bike over.
