Hi everyone, I am having a strange issue. I run a triple monitor set up. Whenever I game on my left monitor when I do I get constant flickering on the right side monitor. Middle monitor is fine.
Now the left monitor and right monitor both have Gsync, the middle does not as it is an IPS. This never used to happen until recently, I am wondering if there is a setting or in the new driver update it causes set ups with multiple Gsync monitors to have flickering on the monitor which has no game open?
GPU: Zotac 1080TI amp extreme, no overclock
CPU: Intel Core i7 5820k, Overclocked to 4.1ghz
Motherboard: Asus x99-s
RAM: TeamGroup Team Elite 16GB DDR4-2400 / PC4-19200 DDR4 SDRAM UDIMM
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 750W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Operating System & Version: Windows 10 build 1703 64bit, clean install
GPU Drivers: 384.94, clean install
A few weeks ago I changed some settings in Nvidia control panel, I have changed the ones I remember back but cannot remember everything. I am not even bothered about the right monitor using Gsync and would happily turn it off on that monitor if I could. It is not displayport or input related, it is only happening when I boot games up which makes me think it's Gsync, can anyone please advise?
Also I have noticed if a game is in fullscreen mode it is fine, if i put it into windowed mode or borderless window mode the flickering happens. I prefer to have games in windowed or borderless so I can use the other monitors whilst gaming. In further addition, when I use my mouse on monitor one/the game the third monitor flickers, if i move my mouse and select something on monitor two or three it is fine. I have tried resetting my CPU overclock to no avail too sadly. I have also tried older Nvidia drivers but this id not help either.
Now after extensive testing I can confirm that when Gsync is turned off on the Nvidia control panel this problem does not persist, if I turn it on then the secondary Gsync monitor flickers when the first Gsync monitor is active with a game.
