Third monitor in my new setup keeps turning off and on again like it's losing signal

I bought a 3rd monitor for a triple monitor setup last week and I also bought a new graphics card so that I could run it.

It's 3 of the 27" DGM 1440x2560 monitors and the new graphics card is a GIGABYTE RADEON R9 270 WINDFORCE 2X OC BF4 EDITION 2GB GDDR

I was planning on using two of the DVI ports and the hdmi port but I don't think that's possible. I think it's because one of the DVI ports and the HDMI port actually share the same connection?

So I bought a Displayport cable instead and now windows allows me to use all 3 monitors.

My problem is the displayport connected one keeps blacking out for a couple of seconds at a time. It may not do it for an hour, then do it a few times within a few minutes.

It's really frustrating. Has anyone else experience this? How can I tell what the issue is?

I got a windows error after it turned off one time, but I can't remember exactly what it was. I think it was a displayport link error.

This post seems to think a cable replacement might fix it.

This is the cable I'm using, says it will satisfy my resolution, I'd be suprised if OcUK didn't stock compliant cables?

At that resolution you need an active Displayport adapter when adapting the DP out to HDMI/DVI. I'm not sure how that relates to DP->DP though, if at all.

Yeah, I think I read that. Which is why I'm trying to use use direct dvi to dvi, hdmi to dmi, and displayport to displayport connections on the mointors, which means I haven't need to buy any adapters.

But I'm not sure if this is a cable issue or a graphics card issue? If it's a cable issue should I get one from elsewhere and ensure it's of the correct standard (1.2 the newest?) Problem is most sellers don't state the spec their cable is manufactured to. Or do I get another one from OcUK and hope it's just a dodgy one that I have?
