I bought a 3rd monitor for a triple monitor setup last week and I also bought a new graphics card so that I could run it.
It's 3 of the 27" DGM 1440x2560 monitors and the new graphics card is a GIGABYTE RADEON R9 270 WINDFORCE 2X OC BF4 EDITION 2GB GDDR
I was planning on using two of the DVI ports and the hdmi port but I don't think that's possible. I think it's because one of the DVI ports and the HDMI port actually share the same connection?
So I bought a Displayport cable instead and now windows allows me to use all 3 monitors.
My problem is the displayport connected one keeps blacking out for a couple of seconds at a time. It may not do it for an hour, then do it a few times within a few minutes.
It's really frustrating. Has anyone else experience this? How can I tell what the issue is?
I got a windows error after it turned off one time, but I can't remember exactly what it was. I think it was a displayport link error.
This post seems to think a cable replacement might fix it.
This is the cable I'm using, says it will satisfy my resolution, I'd be suprised if OcUK didn't stock compliant cables?
