Thirteenth Step

It's a wicked album, but I'm much happier that Tool are hitting it up now. Only shame is that no UK dates have been announced for the Tool/Isis gig, which would be immense.

:O

Since when are APC no more? I must admit I haven't visited their website in a while, and last time I did it had not been updated in ages but I assumed in a year or so's time we'd hear more from them. Tis a shame cos I really like Tool but they're a different group altogether and would have been nice to have them co-exist for a little longer :(

Becasue popular opinion is against Emotive and because I personally dislike it for many reasons.

It surprises me that someone actually prefers it. Especially with Howerdell singing...

Since when has popular opinion mattered with good music?

Come on now... 'Let's Have A War' and 'Passive' are great :)

Passive & imagine are the best songs on Emotive, that album comes no where near Thirteenth step or Mer de Noms though :P thats just my opinon.

I know it's completly off topic, well, I guess it ties in somehow. Do any of you read the forums on Alex Grays website? They are really scaring me! Some of the ideas put forward are frightening. I might make a post in GD about this - heightened conscience's and perception etc? It really interests me.

Scary was perhaps the wrong word to use. Whilst reading his forums I came across posts from people who were so misguided and deluded with regards to spirtuality it was actually frightening how wrong they could be. This is completly off topic anyway. The link in your sig is shocking, however, I believe every word of it. Crazy people.

Anyway, back on topic. Thirteenth Step - great album. :p

Re: your sig...

Have you seen 'Where Buffalos Roam?'. I've been reading 'Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72' since seeing it :D

No, I've not seen Buffalos but its only 1 or 2 of the things I haven't consumed about the Good Doctor. May I also reccommend Kingdom of Fear... possibly his best next to Las Vegas.

I am not sure whether there is a correct order to read Thompson's books in. I have read them in a random order and still loved them.

I'd recommend it wholeheartedly. Bill Murray does a great job and it's possibly a bit more humanising than F&L while managing to be even more farsical.
