As you can see in my sig ive got a XFX4890 and got my eyes set on a XFX5870, Just wondering if it would be worth it? Ill be getting on in a couple of months or so, thanks for any advice in advance.

If your planning to play games with DX11 content then that would sway the balance of worth it... the rest depends a lot on the resolution and settings you play at. If your at 1920x or higher res you'd see a big gain. Below 1680x you probably wouldn't see more than fairly minor gains.
