Got a build here. Looks good to me and probably going to order next week some time. Wondering what you experts out there think of it. Also, was recommended the Hyperx savage 240gb sdd and after a bit of research, found its not reviewed very well. Any other ssd recommendations for around the £60-£80 mark?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £474.11
(includes shipping: £12.30)

Cheers for reading and look forward to your advice :)

The super flower PSU any good? Done some research and seen a few reports of the PSU going down and taking other components with it, hence why I chose the Corsair one. Also same with the Seagate HDD with many reports of corruption with the WD being a bit more reliable. True in your experience? Also with GFX card, the gtx960 seems to be my best value for money as I'm not looking to spend over £500 for the build. Any other cards maybe a bit pricier that does a better job or am I good going for the 960?

Thanks for the advice :)

Better internals than the CX range.

Ive had Seagate and WD drives, never had a failure on any of them, whether the new owners ever did after I sold them (to get large capacity ones) i dont know.

Barracudas, WD Blacks, velociraptors, Reds, Ive had a many, I currently just so happen to have a 2TB black and 3TB red at the moment.

R9 380s are ok, but the 4Gb models are more £££.

Ah ok thanks for the advice. Probably stick with me gtx960 then. Seems to be well spoken of and at a good price. Can't really find many reviews on the PSU so will take your word on it for now.

Full build looking like this now:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £495.81
(includes shipping: £0.00)

Any more tweaks and/or personal opinions on the Super Flower PSU would be appreciated :)

Have to admit I have no idea of the differences between any of the motherboards other than compatibility with other components. Any benefits from getting the slightly more expensive one?

thanks for posting this was looking into trying to make a cheap 960 budget build didnt know you about that cheap ram ive got a ssd for now been looking at cheapest route. been tempted by the superflower psu a few times

Ah so only difference really is allowing a HDMI input. Probably go for the A model then just to make dual/triple screening a bit easier. Thanks a lot for your help :)

This is a lot of performance for the money, and is exactly what I'd be spending my money on.

If you absolutely must have Maxwell, I would personally get the 970, as performance/£ is excellent. Mini-Itx versions can be had for £259.99 from ocuk.

Just bin doing a bit of research and due to tempramental power in my house (turns off when it rains or for no bloody reason) I've opted to get a UPS. However I have no idea what requirements my build would need. Probably going to swap the Psu in my build above for the Corsair builder 500W (don't know if that makes a difference). Thinking of £60 or less but I don't know if this will get me any quality and actually do its job in saving my pricey components. Any recommendations?
