Does any one know what could be causing this?

I have 3 gtx 280 cards and one sometimes gets this code 10 error after startup and it shows up in device manager as a standard adapter (not identified as a gtx 280).

the screen is at 800x600 and i have to reset the bios and then reinstall the driver and then its fine again for a day. wtf? I have tried 3 different nvidia drivers, have updated mobo bios twice, thought it was a corrupt os and formatted again.

I tested each card independantly and this error did not happen.

I have noticed that sometimes when i close a folder down it says explorer needs to be restarted. This is windows 7 x64. also sometimes it crashes when loading a dvd or accessing the dvd drive display going on and off as it does when enabiling sli then bsod and memory dump.:confused:

To me it seems like a resorce conflict maybe with the dvd drive? but how do i fix it?
the nvidia sight says this about the error:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_13957.html - no help to me as bios has no such setting

can anyone help?

its a Corsair HX 1000W psu but, i have noticed that when i get a bsod theres a high pitched electrical noise when the screen starts flickering and then the bsod. Maybe the psu is on its way out. Its strange that i always have to load optomised defaults in the bios and then it is fine, its as if something gets corrupted. I dont have another psu to test but i can take out two other adapter cards and disconnect some fans and hard drives and see if that changes anything by using less power.
