This dosent sound good for all you analog people out there

The basic jist of it is that unless your using a HDMI or DVI from your HD-Dvd player then you gonna get 1/4 of the resolution.

I think this is outragous. It will mean people who bought their big screen tvs with no dvi or HDMI input wont be able to enjoy even a 720P picture.
Thoughts??

We've known about that for a very long time, I bought an HD projector nearly two years ago and went for one with a HDCP enabled DVI input for this reason.

HDCP is a non issue, its been stripped out with naughty boxes around 10mins after it launched. While i can use HDCP on DVI i will still be using component + VGA on my screen.

That article doesnt say anything of the sort, if fox, sony and paramount say no to it, then it wont happen.
Besides which, it means that a very small amount of hi def players will be sold, and the format will flop.
This is the self same reason SKY's new HD boxes are being released with analog connections as well, as the accounts have said "Woah!! if you cut off 95% of the market, how do you intend to make any money??"
