Yeah I had Raclette with potatoes years ago when I was in Saas Fee. Looks like you've got some pickled onions there?

original way to eat raclette at the restaurant. you also receive every time you want your portion of cheese.

It depends where you eat, if you go in a very touristic restaurant the cheese is not always good, in the right store you have to buy the cheese ( here also available in the supermarket ) and then you cook it yourself. For a better taste of the cheese ( at least the first time ) without onions or other vegtables ). The taste of the cheese must be SWEET, otherwise the cheese is not the best.

NO, no no toast. there are a special cheese for doing raclette, melted cheese alone with potatoes.

You make confusion with fondue, but raclette is only with potatoes and fondue ( another kind of cheese ) is with bread. but if you try the both, very different dishes although is always cheese.

It's not liquid cheese, is melting cheese, another thing for me. Anyway I have to try it with potatoes and then you tell me.

Raclette cheese is very fine and sweet, with boiled potatoes excellent.
