will this fan definately be compatible with a gigabyte S series ga-m55s-s3 motherboard and amd dual core 6400+ processor (am2)

Also dont forget to apply thermal paste....the cooler should come with some.

smear a thin layer of the paste on top of the CPU, then pop your cooler on top.

when you order from ocuk it asks you to choose a delivery date. i ordered my processor to come yesterday but it did not arrive. is this normal for ocuk?

The paste is pre-applied, usually you just need to peel off a label on the base of the cooler and then seat it onto the CPU being careful to position it correctly first time since you want the best possible contact with no air bubbles that might be created by moving it around.

ah even easier then!

my new main concern is that although my motherboard comes with ide and sata connector cables, it does not seem to supply the powercables for any devices. do these cables usually come with the device upon purchase? i will be buying a new hdd this week but want to use the cd/dvd drive out of my current pc. will the power cable on my existing setup (compaq presario sr1909uk) be compatible?

check on city link tracking. if city link mess up again id recommend you to go into rambo mode and torture everyone in the company until you find answers

i called ocuk, they needed me to send documentation to prove my identity and address. it's all sorted now!

oh and the power cables that come with the psu, do they include cables to power devices?

I guess that depends on what devices you are talking about, internal components such as motherboard, graphics card(s), hard drives and optical drives then yes. Anything external is a no.
