Perhaps im getting older and more cynical but it seems this forum has drastically changed since as little as 5 years ago.

There seems to have been an influx of threads about blacks/browns/took our jobs/raped our wives and threads like how long do I microwave socks and eastern European camgirl girlfriend meeting threads etc...
Oh and that ******* meme person. :confused:

Now im not complaining and I strongly believe in free speach (within family freindly reason) this is just my observation and some threads are really rather ammusing. I spend lots and lots of time browsing this froum and have done for nearly 11 years :eek:, some of you guys who have been here a while have you noticed a change or do I have rose tinted glasses and have spent too much time in Motors.

Did it used to be all sugar and spice?

Its not so much the case of banning people providing they are not seriously inciting hatred or personally attacking members, as I said I beleive that people are entitled to an opinion. Its just the large rise in these threads that have supprised me.

Also the funny/strange/retarded threads seem to be on the up, there has always been liers (Motors is good for this) that the detectives usualy uncover in ammusing ways but there seems to have been an increace in stuff like the seirons meme etc...

Perhaps im just noticing it more or its a sign of the times?

This is exactly why I dont think banning these people is a good idea, its great to see people using reason against them!

Also im not complaining about the change, its just an observation :)

If you've got any issues then please either RTM the post or contact one of the moderators via email - that's not a guarantee that what you find offensive will necessarily be removed or otherwise acted upon but it will be looked at. The system and the moderators are not perfect but we do try to achieve a balance so to achieve this there's a lot more discussion and action that goes on behind the scenes (as it were) to try and keep everything going smoothly. Sometimes you may not feel that we've got the balance right but the main way that we can know is via your comments.

I have had no objections thus far during my membership of OcUK, this thread was mearly my observations and curiosity of what some of the other longer serving members thought and was not just about racism, but also the rather strange threads (random) that appear.

I appreciate the the reply though :)

If you read the OP I was only offering my observations of this forum in recent years and have also said I welcome free speach within reason i.e family freindly forum.

If that post was directed at me could you link some of my posts you are reffering to?

No I was not calling the Racists retarded, it was about the kind of post like:
how long to microwave socks and people bang on about seirons memes etc, and racism.

I think NaithWraith understood, It wasnt a dig at anyone just a kind of poorly worded thread title. TBH I couldnt give a monkeys if you are racist or not and the strange threads are, well, strange but they are all good. As I said in my OP these are just my observations and I have no problems with how the forum is.
