This forum.

I like this forum and sometimes i forget that it is actually connected to a shop, well not completely, i can just get so in to a discussion that i don't think twice about swearing etc. The SC had a lot more posts even when i first joined a few years ago.

What i would like to know is, why is DirtyDog not permabanned.

Countless people have been suspended for small things like accidental swearies, even some in this thread for criticizing the mods.

Yet all DirtyDog does is post obvious racially motivated hate threads. The other day he started a thread where he said something on the line of "paedophile Mohammad", yet all the mods did is question him why he phrased it like that. Then the thread was eventually removed after about 7 pages of hate. This is just a small example of DirtyDog, as many many threads of his have been removed yet he is still free to post?

Not having a go at the mods but would be nice to hear their reasoning in not banning an obvious troll and racist. If his threads are removed so often as they offend shouldn’t the thread starter be punished as well?

Unless he breaches the rules then there is nothing they can really justify, I do believe in the past they have warned him away from posting certain poorly toned topics and for a while he did comply. Swings and roundabouts. He is entitled to voice his opinion though, only out in the open can such problems be exposed and picked apart.

One thing that annoys me is people that moan about other people and want other people banned. I bet you were crying when you made this post.

There seems to be occasions where people are correcting some folk and dispensing suspensions to others.

If it's a problem that creates this unbalanced approach then simply remove the source, there are plenty of risqué discussions and chat that go on from time to time I'm not sure you'd want to stop it if you could.

I don't really care, I was just saying I like being vulgar and crass and sometimes it can catch me out :p

Of coarse, yes everyones aloud to express their opinion.

I don’t see what voicing a opinion has anything to do with pointing out in a thread title, that a BLACK man punched an old man. Where’s the opinion in that apart from being a specifically racial hatred thread.

He does breach the rules, that's the point. He actively tries to insult people as I pointed out, he referred to me as a "mongrel" for being mixed race. He's done many things like that to other people and is an active member on at least one white supremacist forum, so it's not like he can claim they're "jokes".

Exactly, i know for a fact 100% if i started dozens of threads beginning with "White man has incest relationship with daughter" or "white priest paedophile" or "white man Fritzel" etc etc i would be banned within a flash, no?

You could do that if you want, i think most white people see the colour aspect as a character description. Rather than an insult. If you are black then you are black. I could find not that many posts with the term black in the title, it is definitely not a common occurrence. Most pedos and serial killers are white anyway, you would not realy need to add that descriptive.

This is the internet and you are complaining about a petty "insult". I bet you guys are the ones that phone up the bbc and complain about jeremy clarkson.

You should check your expectations, this is the internet and not your children class room. I bet you guys are the ones that phone up the bbc and complain about jeremy clarkson.

What in the blue moon are you taliking about lulz, Jeremy Clarkson is awesome, hilarious guy you have to take with a pinch of salt.

What has that got to do with this?

Freedom of opinion and freedom of speech doesn't absolve anyone of the responsibility of thinking for themselves and making sure what they say is actually true and not complete fabricated crap.

While I agree with the principal being made you set too high a standard. For most things discussed on these forums it would be difficult to prove in any reasonable sense what is true or not.

It may seem like a philosophical point but opinion is just justified true belief, the problem with racists and their ilk is that they cannot offer any rational argument to back up most of their claims, the mistake people make is trying to reason with them when the racists justification is emotional rather than rational.

People who condemn them should also be careful, as simply branding everybody who makes a negative comment about non white people racist may miss the opportunity to become aware of a real problem. I'll give an example which I will no doubt get shot for.

Four out of Ten of the youth prison population is black. See http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/oct/26/young-black-men-youth-jails

Am I being racist for pointing out this fact? I know this isn't the best example but if you do not allow people to make statements about people which include their race then all you are doing is pushing the problem under the carpet. There is a real issue with black people either committing more crime than white people or to put it another way there is a real issue with black people being disproportionatly convicted for crimes which white people may get off with a caution.

You can only properly discuss these problems if everything out is in the open including peoples racist tirades, it is only then when you can see the wood from the trees.
