Hi all

This freesync\gsync\Adaptive Sync stuff is all a bit of a mess.........which is better...?...and which should I buy into not knowing what GPU I could end up wanting to buy in a year or two.....is a freesync monitor more likely to be better\more supported as it has to support DP 1.2a?

Maybe Nvidia will have to support DP 1.2a one day and then adaptive sync will work....

Anyway its all seeming like a way to lock you into a GPU brand rather then being able to change GPU to whatever is best at the time....

If you are happy with your current monitor, wait to see the answers to most of your questions.

Gsync is currently better hands down, as it is the only one that currently exists. It has been for over a year.

Objectively speaking I'd imagine they will be fairly similar with each having their drawbacks/qwerks and advantages.

Freesync/adaptivesync as Gsync was, has been delayed (or at least the monitors have.)
That will no doubt change in the coming months.
