this going to be worth it?

So we all agree it's pointless getting NGII second hand, which I said not to do in the first place?

Sorted.

Yes it would be pointless :), but you quoted me saying it would be hard to find and I replied I had seen a few copies floating around due to people moaning about the camera. I never said go buy it second hand.

What got me thinking that was GTA 4 for £40 in the OP when it isnt worth that much IMO because there is basically naff all to do after the main story. Where as in GTA:SA I found myself messing around for hundreds of hours with loads to do after I finished the main story.

Buy the HDMI cable as cheap as possible because I've heard stories about some cables being too 'fat' to fit in the slot with the 360's A/V cable (if you ever wanted 5.1 sound you would need both plugged in at the same time)

If you only spend £5 on it opposed to £15-£20 its not such a huge blow if it doesnt fit. Also they all do the same job with the same quality whether the cables are £5 or £50.

that better guys?

Try and find Gears of War as well, great fun with a mate over Xbox Live :)

Gears of War 2 is out in November aswell.

Also are you taking the 360 online? Because you would need a Gold subscription (dont buy at retail though since you can get them £10-£15 cheaper on Ebay)

It's not the HDMI cable that stops them both going in at the same time, it Microsoft have designed the plug on the HD AV and Composite cables to cover half of the HDMI port to make you buy the official HDMI cable set.

Doesn't matter as even cheap ones don't allow the standard AV cable to fit. Be careful about second hand information.

You either need the optical dongle or do what I did and strip the AV cables plastic cover off and use that if you want HDMI + optical. Buy a £3 HDMI cable as I said earlier anyway.

I would say get the 120GB.

The 20GB or less as you can actually use, gets used up very quickly with DLC, demos and arcade games.

I have lots of DLC and haven't filled it. I only store around 5-6 demos at a time though and all my arcade games in total (8ish of them) only take up a few hundred MB. The 120GB has to be the most useless peripheral ever for its cost.

Agree, 20GB for the console and a 500GB external drive for all the media.

Had my 20GB for 2 years now and I've not come close to filling it once and the demo arguement is pointless since you delete them after 1-2 weeks and with arcade games they are tiny and wont fill the HDD unless you download loads and loads of them.

DLC might pose a problem down the line, but atm its a non-issue - 120GB is overkill.

If he is that worried about it MS are rumoured to be getting ready a 60GB SKU, which they are supposedly going to announce at E3 in a months time, with a release aimed at September (again its just Rumour atm)

Mine has 5 silent 120mm fans in it, I have to stick my head next to it to hear it :D

Besides, the 360 is so loud you won't notice :p

Why would you go VGA over HDMI? Never understood it really. Some people say they don't like the super sharp image that HDMI produces, well lower the sharpness setting then?
