I'm good thank you.

Glad to hear your mum enjoyed your jaunt out :) (I myself am struggling to stay awake today and I feel like I've not done much lol)

I'm sure a lovely home cooked meal will help , like you said. Weirdly growing up we never had lamb but we always had beef with mint sauce lol

I went into M&S today for the first time in months. I haven't set foot in any shop since 22nd March but made sure I wore a mask. Thankfully it was quiet inside as it was hot and stuffy. I definitely will stick to the click and collect though, I bought way too much rubbish food whilst I was in there :o (was only meant to pop in to get something for lunch!)

Thanks, @secretspy. The meal went down very well. She ate the lot, which is great considering how bad she can sometimes be. I've been feeding her loads of veg (at least 4 types per main meal on most days) and good meat while she's been brighter so she'll have a good reserve if she "goes under" again. Can't say I mind too much because I really enjoy my food too and I need to gain a bit of weight again (I'm over 2 stones down at about 14.5 at the moment and my clothes are hanging off me).

Beef and mint sauce? :) I can't say I've ever tried it (I usually go for English mustard or horseradish) but you know what - I'll try it the next time I make a roast beef dinner.

It must have been strange going into a shop again after all that time. What did you make of it?

\m/ :D \m/

Glad your mum's doing ok mate :) I've also been out today which is a rarity. Just to a friend's garden but it really refreshes me and my partner from being stuck inside together. We should do it more often.

Cheers mate. I'm sure that was nice, like removing a set of social blinkers. You don't realise quite how much they restrict you until you take them off for a spell. Normality, whenever it returns, will take some getting used to again.

A good friend of mine has been trying to get me out for a few socially distanced alfresco beers on the hills between us (he doesn't quite grasp how much care my mother needs but he means well). I obviously declined and just as well - he persuaded his wife to join him last week and when they were cycling back off the mountain he came off and cracked a rib. :D

That desperate for muffin cases where you? :p as a back up option you could have used some greaseproof paper instead

How did you find it?
It was definitely a strange feeling, seeing others wearing them, some staff wearing a visor or nothing at all. As I had said to my mum previously, sometimes I'll be driving along and seeing the other traffic etc or sat at home thinking about what to do in the sunny weather and for a split second forget what's currently going on. And then you see someone in a mask, or read something on the news and you remember.

I certainly feel sympathy for the nurses and doctors who have to wear a mask all day. I couldn't wait to get mine off as soon as I stepped outside (I think lad baby has the right idea with the neck fan lol)

I think I'll get a different mask for any future visits I.e. fuel station as the one I had was a surgical type one but was too big
Yep, my girlfriend had promised birthday cupcakes for her brother and it was 9pm on the day before, when we realised we'd run out! Had to make do with small cake cases. Still just as tasty.

It was not TOO bad, maybe because it was dark out and a bit rainy, so I had a jacket, hat and mask. So I didn't feel super exposed or visible. But I have a massive beard now so the mask is not doing much either. I don't think I'll go to many more shops though, maybe should practise travelling instead. I've not been on a bus in 4 months either.

Just moved to Amsterdam from San Francisco. Having to rekit the place, so I've bought the following thus far:

LG CX OLED 65"
Sony HT-X8500 (temporary until I decide on a decent speaker system)
PS4 Pro as I won't get my previous one until October following the over seas international shipping

And lastly, my personal fave thus far, a iRoboto Roomba S9+, what a cracking little gadget this is! It's still learning the layout bless it, but from the few cleans it's done, it's great!

Today's items are boring things, clothes rack, kettle, kitchen aid etc etc.

Next large purchase will be a car but not for a while until I've got the BSN and Dutch bank all sorted. Originally was looking at the Volvo XC 90, but the garage parking here at my building is beyond tiny, no chance a xc 90 will fit so may just get a city running car until we buy a house next year.

My old Roomba is still going after about 7 years, all I've had to buy for it is one 3rd party battery replacement a couple of years ago.

I'd skip on the PS4 PRO if you can especially with new ones shipping so soon?

I'm not sure I can wait a few months to play games haha. Plus, I'll just donate this PS4 pro once my original one lands with my PC and xbox one x, wife and I are huge gamers so we will certainly be preordering both the new xbox and PS.

There is a kids homing place near me, at least I think there is, as there is a park near by so I'm sure they'll make good use of it once I'm done with it.

Well, that was odd. I normally do my click and collect on a Friday but last time I opted for a Tuesday and it was much quieter. Decided to do a Tuesday again, got there for the lunchtime pick up and no one was there. Not even staff waiting around like they normally do.

Usually there are a fair amount of cars queuing to wait for a free bay, to the point where they had to put up barriers and would bring the shopping out to those in the queue.

I asked for 4 carrots. Ok yes I got 4 but they're tiny, smaller than my hand. I'm thinking it's payback for being the only one there lol :o

Parcel delivered to a local newsagents, the shop only offered pick up or deliver to a drop off location (not sure why as they have delivered to me home before). Soo opted for the collect from drop off option; which is a local newsagents all of 5 mins walk away.

So I went to collect, nothing. UPS have a picture of shop front - store keeper is saying nowt arrived, to try again tomorrow. UPS receipt mentions parcel left at reception (its a newsagents)?!

I have this feeling reception means - it was left on the doorstep on a high street. sigh.

Hospital drained my blood blister, oh my god it's so much better but it looks really disgusting now.

I've given @Acme I nice photo of it for when he goes on messenger :p

Haha :D

Have they suggested what to do as after care to help keep it clean and heal quickly I.e. soaking it in some salt water etc?

Well that's me all done with work for another 4 days  though I just wasted over an hour looking for storage boxes when I could have been watching The Fall :o I just want to find one that I can put my DVD sleeves in, upright and isn't ridiculously huge, and has a lid lol

Usually I'd try and out-creep you for the lols when sending me pictures of your feet, but in this instance, I have just been deleting the pictures so I never have to look at them again... :p

Just logged off work and getting ready for a whopping 3 weeks off... the longest 'leave' I've ever taken. I can feel the stress slowly dissipating from my body - ahhh!!

Urm, not really had it aired out all day today and put iodine on it this afternoon and I've just cleaned and redressed it for bed as I'm popping out tomorrow so it needs to be dressed.

I consulted a nurse and a pharmacist for their advice.

@Acme not surprised it's pretty grim, did you see the Imgur album lmao. People on Reddit like y'all gunna lose your toe, chill it broke and it looks worse than what it is.
