This Instant And Moment - 2026!

BA cancelled my flight last night. Went to the app, offered to rebook or refund. I chose refund, it's not as if I am in a hurry to go to Belgium. But upon clicking the accept the refund offer the page crashed and never got a confirmation email. That was at like 7pm and their phone lines was overwhelmed.

Called again this morning and was told they got the tick for me accepting cancellation of the flight but not the hotel (was 1 package). So that is sorted. Also, side note, a british accent lady on the phone, rather than an overseas call centre.

I know where there customer services are, definitely uk based.

The customer services aren't based at HQ. Great staff perks!

There is references to them being based at the airports, but also Manchester and newcastle, and i guess they outsource to outside the UK also (its new call centre located in Gurugram, near Delhi)

Expected absolutely loads of snow based on the weather reports I've been seeing, school is closed and my boss said I'm all good to WFH (I do hybrid anyway) but wake up this morning and see a bit of slushy white stuff, where's the world ending storm the news has been reporting, roads are fine round here.

Probably if its out of hours to the UK.

Narh, both have the same 8:00-20:00 hours. Just last night was for just the flight cancellation phone number, mine is a different number/department because I bought a package with the hotel. The indian lady told me this number which this morning was a british lady.

Rebooked the same trip 2 weeks from now. Not even going to unpack my suitcase lol. Just going to leave it.

Same hotel, but flight is different time. The return one is much earlier (midday vs 6pm) which is a shame, leaving no time to explore on the last day but it is basically the same price (£5 more).

Blinking heck, some of the weather forecasters are predicting -17 degrees here on Monday morning. Yikes! Even the more optimistic are saying -11.
