this IS a game

those FPS players will enjoy this.
obviously a VR title based on movement and graphics based on first video.

but for me just looks a little to real for my liking based on the clip.
fish eyed lense adds to the effect.
it may just be a tech demo

some additional details :

It's the camera movement and fish eye lens that makes it seem somewhat real, it's a mildly impressive demo. Put that game infront of any seasoned FPS player and they'll be spinning around and looking all over the place, such that any sense of realism is gone in 5 seconds. Many games look nice and have a sense of realism when you slow down camera movement, it's just usually detrimental to play that way and not at all a representation of how you'll be playing the game.

I was wowed when i saw MK (finish him!) and SF (hadoken!) for the first time, i'm easily pleased. Gameplay > Graphics ..

Another game that’ll never come out; albeit not from being a scam like that Division-styles zombie game or that FPS “horror” game with the dismemberment. Problem is it’s the easiest it’s ever been for small studios to build the base game and drum up a huge amount of hype, but not actually finish a project. UE engine letting people drop cheap assets in to the engine and use some WYSIWYG scripts around it is great for a starter for ten, but nothing beyond that.

to be fair theres no game actually annouced just a visual tech demo released to the internet (2nd video goes in to it a bit more). the Developer is a visual artist not a game designer so i think this is more a case of people jumping to conclusions and getting excisted.

The video quality kind of masks a lot of the normal game deficiencies - kind of like that GTA thing where they put a filter over the top that fools the eye into seeing something looking more real than it is.

Definitely! I used to sit watching the replays thinking games can never get better!!

My jaw dropped, when i first saw the import running a week after release. Nothing, not even in the arcades had done the realistic motion like that before.

The next 5 months were an agonising wait, one of the greatest payoffs ever. Leaps like that aren't really a thing any more, the last one that did i reckon was watching the first trailer for Battlefield 3.
