I bought my xbox the first feb after release so its pretty old now! Not far off release day really.

It has frozen twice in the last 5mins and gave off a beep when playing guitar hero, I fear it has come to the end of its life :(

Not had to replace it entire time ive had this, this must be almost a world record surely :o

Nothing to do with some update I had to apply?? Anyone know of any issues with this current one.

Will be nothing to do with the update.

It's possible it is overheating, but I wouldn't pronounce it dead until you actually get a fatal error. Let it cool off, maybe air dust the PSU and the 360 itself, and see what happens.

If it does go, fix it yourself and be proud for keeping a launch day-ish machine alive :D.
 
My brother got his on release day and it ceased reading discs yesterday... No advice though, sorry. :p
 
I think it is 3 years from the date of purchase. Try and book a repair at xbox.com, see if it lets you for free.

oh dear looks like you have just missed out

still worth a call to them though.
Call em up. If they say no then fix it yourself - don't give up or it'll be a sad day every day for you.
 
I rang them and the I hung up, after 15mins with the guy spending about 8 to register my console then me trying to explain I live in W I L T S H I R E I lost my rag

Done it online and all appears to be ok so heres hoping.

To be fair i don't know where WILTSHIREI is either. I know of Wiltshire though :D

Sorry couldn't resist :p. At least you've successfully done it online now and can relax somewhat.
