I can't hear the music at work but it's such a sad video. To see the stewards just standing around clueless while Purley tries frantically to save him. Tragic.

If i remember the details correctly, none of the marshalls had the correct clothing, they could not get close enough through the heat to help.

driver had fireproof overalls+helmet

marshalls didnt + the car would have been as hot as an oven very fast

Without even watching the video Im sure ive seen it before.

But my coments are still the same. While it is tragic that so many people have died in the past in motorsport accidents, they should be aplauded for their bravery, and they should be given the up most respect for, all be it in a tragic way, demonstraiting that safety in motorsport should be paramount. The scarifices these people made in the past has pushed forward motorsport safety to a level where deaths are incredibly rare and drivers, marshals, and fans are safer than ever. They deserve all of our respect.
