This is different from most hi-fi/home cinemas...

As a leaving-school-present, my mum told me I could have my bedroom redone with an entertainment system put in. I'm not a big fan of music or home cinemas (I don't like watcing TV through a projector...just not my cup of tea) but I do want an entertainment system.

Hopefully this will include a Media Centre PC (small form/shuttle) with a wall-mounted TV and a X-Box 360 as well as other consoles.

One of the ideas I've always had was to have a Sky multiroom box in my room to go with the Sky+ HD box my parents plan to have when it comes out. However, I'm a believer in future-proofing and one ideal solution would be to have a Sky+ HD box for my bedroom as well (seeing as the TV will be HD) - will we have to have another dish on the side of our house for this?

One big advantage of having Sky+ HD is that I'll be able to record, pause and rewind programmes and so on - this would seem to go well with my Media Centre PC, but is it possible for me to transfer my recorded programmes from the Sky box to the PC for extra HD storage or burning to DVD?

Additionally, what would I need to have in order to transfer programmes/home films from VHS to DVD? Obviously, I'll need a VHS player, but is that all I need? Will the Media Centre be able to do the rest?

Finally, I'm considering having another, smaller monitor wall-mounted in the other end of the room, showing the same things as the main TV, be it a film, programme or DVD. How feasible is this?

Thanks.

 OMG how big is your bedroom that you would need a TV at either end?

It's a pain to hoover my room :(

AFAIK remember if you do record onto a PC or DVD recorder from Sky HD, it won't still be in HD after the copy, unless you wait for recordable HD-DVD or a HD ready capture card.

Actually never thought of that. Will the release of recordable HD-DVD/HD-ready capture card come soon?
