I currently have 4Gb of 1333Mhz of DDR3 RAM in my rig, I am right in thinking that I can order 4Gb of 1600Mhz RAM and it will just run at 1333Mhz.
Just want to check before I order.

Yes, I think that the 1600mhz ram can just downclock to 1333mhz

As long as they are the same timings, voltages etc.

Nothing, I am just upgrading to 8GB, I am getting faster so that I can then replace the original 4Gb with 1600Mhz stuff in the future.

The performance difference between 1333 and 1600 RAM is very small. You'd be much better off getting new RAM to match the old then leaving it.
