This is stupid and uncalled for

No, it suggest that a small group (possibly as small as 1 person) doesnt like Muslims.

I struggle to see how you can extrapolate from that to the country as a whole....
I don't know how many native Britons welcome them :) I think we can agree that it is more than one person who doesn't welcome them - unless you are implying that I put the pig's head there

Well, they can retort by dumping something heretical outside a christian / jewish church.

Oh, wait, they already did that, they murdered a christian nun and burned effigies to the pope.

I have little tolerance for either side tbh. Christians were taught to understand that others wouldn't believe, they would be ridiculed, they would come under the toughest scrutiny, but that they would stand the test of time.

The leaders of islam clearly preach bigotry and hatred, and deserve to be clowned. I don't care if I insult your religion, you insult ours, its how it will go back and forth between them.

Not my personal beliefs, but how I believe it will happen. Believe me, these are exactly the types of reasons I am an atheist. Anyone can have faith, but its the dogma that brings shame to any organised religion.

Why should christians/jews suffer for some ignorants actions, Id put very good money on the fact it wasnt done by a Christian or Jew. And since when responding with equal stupidity and ignorance ever helpped matters?

The leaders of Islam dont preach hatred, some, a minority do, not all of them, please put away your pot of tar and brush thank you.

This isn't protesting. If it is I've not idea what point these mindless idiots who do this kind of thing are trying to make - so they've failed to protest anything.

Do you know what a protest is? It need not have placards and barriers.

Please, feel free to tear my statement apart fallacy by fallacy, but sarcasm and personal attacks aren't going to help.

PMSL nothing sarcastic or personal about my comment, stop getting so worked up ;).

Can you account for your location over the last few days?

No its called bigotry.
Yes that is another word for one who is intolerant of other groups :) And by the same token I daresay many or most Muslims are bigots towards the British way of life.

Let me say first I agree that the 'something-muslim-happened-omg-it-must-be-front-page-news' thing and some of Islam's ways I disagree with. But some of the attitudes here are very hypocritcal.

'Islam is bad because of the things they did to us so to rise above it and show how outraged we are at their backward ways, we'll do/should do exactly the same thing'.

I fail to see how this is worse than a protest calling for the beheading of Danish cartoonists.

The muslim community will reap what it sows.

I daresay you are wrong, most British Muslims are part of the 'British way of life'.

Sorry, I thought you were saying that my opinion was immature and unfounded :) I also get defensive about these things, but I have spent a long time (of my relatively short 26 years) thinking about them.

Its not - they are both unacceptable.

Which makes the attitudes of some posters (who seem to think that this is acceptable while the muslims protests were not) even more confusing.

Does that make it ok then? The world would be in for a very difficult time if we went down the eye for and eye route.

If a similar incident happened to a Buddhist sanctuary, I doubt anyone would bat an eye (inside or outside). Also, I can walk into one without having to be Buddhist...

On the other hand, I'm sure whoever left the pig's head was intending to stir something up which of course is immature and irresponsible.

Well if anything the comment you made about muslim preachers preaching hatred blah blah etc is what i found quite immature but then your entitled to your opinion...no matter how ignorant or unfounded it may be;).
