just fished out my old receipt from my last major pc upgrade, which included the purchase of a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ back in march 2005, which cost, from ocuk £154.95 + vat..... now you can buy a q6600 for £146 which has each core clocked 200mhz faster than my old Athlon.... which makes it £8 cheaper....
