thats a CRV Disk (Aka, Laserdisk).

that's a standard VHS cassette. the Disk within the "floppy" is 30cm in diameter!

I still have my Pioneer laserdisk player and over 100 films :eek:

Not played any of them for ages.

Laserdisk was also used for Arcade Games (dragons lair for example) and data projects such as the Domesday Project.

I've still got my Pioneer too - I've got some nice box sets still: star wars, T2, Tron and ET. I'm pretty sure that the star wars dvd release recently with the original versions as extras are ripped straight of the laserdisks.

I'm on the New Doomsday LD!... well my school did quite a few projects that I was was involved in!...
