A Vietnamese man's attempt to smuggle tropical fish into New Zealand in his pants floundered when he tried to get through customs with his pockets dripping water, officials said Friday.

Is this big business or are people progressively getting weirder? Either way, a maximum fine of NZ$100,000. That's gotta smart more than the bill for cleaning your pants.

Hopefully eel be taken trout of society and put away for a long time. I can't stand sole-less people who mistreat animals like that. Hopefully this will school other criminals who think smuggling is clever. Fish.

He's bream caught hook line and sinker and now Hasn't got a ray of hope of escaping the fine he will ssurely be landed with. He'd need a stutgeons wage to shell out for that. I bet he looked koi when he felt the net closing around him
