This is why you play Mass Effect!

Bioware were given a tight 2 year schedule by EA for 3 and sadly it seemed that they just ran out of time. It feels rushed, side quests were no where near as fleshed out as in the previous series plus the ending which was pretty poor by the standards of the trilogy.

The modders have finally ripped the game apart enough to finally start building custom side quests, so hopefully the shallow side quests will be fleshed out over time.

Did you get the Normandy. I found the first couple of hours very dull where you are wandering the citadel. Once you get the ship the game changes dramatically. In fact it went from being a struggle to play to becoming my fave game of all

yea it was probably more than 2 hours.

I think I cleared 1 planet maybe 2 then couldn't be bothered anymore.

I definitely did the planet where you have to repair the AI that controls it or whatever

I was beyond excited to play 3 before when it was released just so I could marathon 1/2/3 but the ending ruined the entire thing, even with the new cut. I loved one to bits though.

One thing I still remember about ME2 was the god awful planet scanning. Felt like a real chore after a couple of planets

Yes. It was okay when scanning for an anomaly, but when just scanning for resources it quickly became a pain. Then they added enemies into the scanning on part 3.

Fair enough. I'd still recommend you give it another shot and get to the point where you start recruiting members of your ship. Liara was awesome who joins mid game.

I played ME1 and ME2.

ME1 felt more special.
Both games I explored all additional worlds and finished them in 15 hours each.

I bought ME3 2 years ago and still need to play it. At least there are Youtube videos summarising each game in a few minutes to remind me of the story.

Mass effect promised that your decisions would count, there would be consequences and benefits to every choice that you made in the game. What happened with them? Nothing.

Ending was also disappointing.

I absolutely fell in love with ME1, and enjoyed ME2. The gameplay of ME3 was good, but was lacking because it was a rush job.

ME1 was excellent with the exception of the bloody Mako element, but can't fault it apart from that.

ME2 was also excellent, my only complaint was the "party member" mission linked to the Justicar (staying vague in case people haven't played). Having such a binary success/fail criteria with no clear route through was bloody annoying in my mind.

ME3 was really enjoyable, but I felt it was a bit too short - there didn't feel to be the same level of broader universe exploration and missions as the other ones. That said, I had a great time playing it, and was sad to finish it.

Thought the series was pretty gash tbh, still played them all for some reason though... Must have been really bored cause I don't look back on my playthroughs with fond memories.

Too many conversations, 95% of which were pointless and had no effect on the overall storyline. They were always really awkward as well due to the funny facial animations and uncanny valley graphics.

This is just my opinion before some overly sensitive type gets all upset because I said something negative about their favourite game ever.

what WHAT HOW ******* dare you !!!!!! :p ;)
(just in case)
/sarcasm mode off

ME is one of those games that people either loved or hated I think. Personally I really enjoyed it, I loved the setting the lore behind it is pretty deep when you read into it. But that said plenty of my RL friends just outright hated it.

That all said ME3 did disappoint me it felt very short compared to the other two. Not to mention the ending..... I think Bioware was always ALWAYS going to struggle to put an "end" to the trilogy and not **** some fans off.

On topic though that video is god damm amazing. Very well put together and the music in sync with everything  Must have taken ages to make.
