this made me cry why did i use mine ;)

Hmmm....wonder if it's actually worth buying something like Twilight Princess or MGS4 sealed for under £20 and then just leaving it in the loft for 25 years.

OMG!!.. I don't understand the magnitude of games collectors these days, it's insane, a 20 year old box with it's original plastic on it? blimey, if you could do fakes, you don't need to put anything in the box, the collector isn't going to devalue it by opening it!, you can't lose!..

Still, it is tempting to just put some unsealed copies of games in the loft as Nanoman said!

It's not just that it's an sealed box, the game being sold here was recalled in the US meaning that there are very few in circulation.
Further, if you read his comments you'll see he explains how to tell if someone is ';faking' the seal, and it's pretty obvious.

Still, I'd be concerned that the winning buyer only has 1 feedback, I hope he gets the $41k it sold for.

he says though that the game won't be shipped until he has payment. I'm sure for something of the value he'd also make sure that it is insured to the hilt and that he knows exactly where it is at any time.

Wow that is amazing....

I do love some of the additional comments on there though :p

You all have been great…we look forward to keeping in touch. We’ve made hundreds of friends and memories to last a lifetime. Blessings to you all!

The seller even made a twitter page and a email account just for this auction !!

Bloody crazy

I wonder what I can save and store for 20 years time so I can sell for £20,000 maybe my G5 mouse will be worth that much in the future when mice become obsolete

This is the "holy grail" of nes games. Apparently there is only 1 or 2 sealed versions in the world.

This is the NTSC version of the game that was released then recalled within a few weeks, which is why it's so rare.

The PAL version of this game was never recalled and a sealed PAL version is worth about £30.

Still madness though, bet the seller is picking himself a nice ferarri about now :o
