Iv just read this (its a daily mail link) BUT iv all been for bulking up by eating ++ cals etc, getting those good carbs in.

he seems to have bulked to a good level on a diet of effectively lettuce levels in 12 weeks, time for re-think or a case of clever january marketing/lighting?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...veals-man-build-body-wanted-TWELVE-weeks.html

for those that dont want to read:

he worked out 4 days a week (with a PT) and his diet was:

Breakfast: Bacon and scrambled eggs
Snack: Handful of mixed nuts
Lunch: Tuna salad with peppers and olives
Snack: Greek yoghurt
Dinner: Steak with sweet potato fries

The trainers have been posting about this for a short while. I respect the trainers a lot, they are pretty fantastic in their knowledge and their client list shows some fantastic results.

However, I just can't see 10kg of muscle mass being added in those pics and I certainly cannot fathom 10kg being added in 12 weeks without "help".

Hardly effectively lettuce?

His diet seems quite good, I can't see the amount he is taken on there? Some good calories in there too.

I doubt that change was made in 12 weeks without a bit of 'help'. Though I don't think its a bad article really, it describes that with the right kind of training and swapping out a crap diet to a 'better' diet will help no end.

thing is some people (99% of the mail readers) wont read the part about the guy being fairly fit and in shape to start with hence he went all out on lifting weights and of course got all them lovely new lifter gains while leaning out at the same time.

i doubt its 10kg's in 12 week though, as for help the magazine shots are well lit and tweaked in photoshop no doubt, after all its a glorified advert to sell a book.

They wont read that bit or that he is a one of the main guys in a major fitness mag.
They also put that he is an average joe. Sorry, but he is far from the average man.

His meal plan looks fine to me but i would add more stir-fry type veg to it.

Thing is Neo, it's good to keep an open mind to things you see, hear and read and it will make you question yourself on whether what you're doing is right, but keep doing what you're doing, ask advice here if you do have doubts about your training, diet or start a log for members to read and follow.
