well from your first post id say ps3...
racing is pretty much tied i guess, depending on whether you like forza or GT, and your footy games will always be multiformat so that is moot.
rpgs however will be better on ps3
It's fan boy posts like this that really irk me.
First; whilst GT may be great it's not out. so we have a demo which is import only vs a fully fledged product.
It's your last statement that bothers me. A throw away 'rpgs will be better on the PS3' statement with nothing to back it up. So he buys a PS3 tomorrow and trots down to pick a rpg up. What is there? Oblivion and a very very poor port of Enchanted Arms. That's it with nothing on the near horizon.
The 360 has Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy XI, Two Worlds, Phantasy Star Universe and Oblivion. Lost Odyssey is out in Feb, Fable 2 is out end of the year, Too Human comes out Q1 and is an action rpg/diablo game. Then we have Infinite Undiscovery, Cry On, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, The Precursors, Elveon and many more announced for next year.
edit: I'm not saying the PS3 won't have rpgs and good ones at that, but at the moment it's lagging very very far behind in this genre and this doesn't look like changing any time soon. Yes PS2 > Xbox for rpgs but this generation this isn't happening.
