This may seem like a stupid question...

I have a Sapphire X1600 Pro. Can I run two DVI monitors from one DVI port using a splitter? Or will I need to use the analogue port to run a second monitor?

Cheers
Jonny

One port = one output. So a splitter will produce 2 monitors showing exactly the same picture.

I have a dell optiplex that came with a splitter cable. I never tried it but recently had a 2nd monitor available so hooked it up to the DVI splitter cable and i now have my desktop stretched over 2 monitors!!
