This monitor any good for gaming?

Like the look of this but would it be practical for gaming on, I'm thinking about the majority of games with no option to choose the desired display rez, although I do realise some games you can hack the rez.

Well, 2048x1152 seems a very unusual res, but then again, so is 23 inch (I have a samsung 26" with 1920x1200 res and is very good).

The combined pixels are 3200, compared to a typical 24/26 Inch (3120). Not sure if games work out the res this way, which would be roughlty the same

That is a 16:9 monitor rather than a 16:10. It's the ratio usually used for films and TV rather than PC games.

It's a nice monitor, but that is a weird res.

Just get a 24" monitor instead with a res of 1920x1200.

I am getting the 24" model for Xmas but this still uses 16:9 but this suits my needs since I will be using it with my Xbox 360 which doesnt support 16:10 fully yet.

I have read many reviews on them and not saw one bad comment yet and since I already own a Dell 2407WFP, I have high hopes for this one.

Ye, cheers guys, think I will just go for a 24 incher and play it safe.
