yeah it's fine but i'd go with a 965 chipset for a 6300 maybe a p5b deluxe?

Yeah for the E6300/E6400 the Gigabyte DS3 is what you want.

If you get the DS3, don't get the G.Skill because it won't boot..

There is a thread with a list of compatible RAM for the S-Series but I don't seem to be able to find it.

not really the 6300 that's the problem with what I posted. Just the DS3 suggested by LoadsaMoney won't work with the G.Skill without a bios update (which is impossible since it won't boot).
Regarding that issue there's a thread here:

but it doesn't matter if you're not buying a DS3 mobo

Thanks for that, BIOS flashes shouldn't be a problem, I have some crucial DDR2 and a Celeron in a spare machine I could probably use if it doesn't boot.

my 6400 and p5b deluxe is running does 3.4ghz windows on stock volts lol, and 3.2ghz orthos stable on stock! my geil 667mhz overclocks to 850mhz - http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=129920

you can't go wrong with that setup tbh, on the tuniq front have you tried fleabay? failing that you only need to wait 3days till it comes in stock on oc's!
