This PSU - This 8800gt

right. ive just brought the psu . should be here sometime this week. im really hoping it will work though the only reviews i have found are on newegg (can i say that ?) so i havent found many indepth reviews.

surely though 29a in total is enough on 12v rail for current specs and if i upgrade to a 8800gt?

also newegg has reviews of people running quad core and 8800gts on it. so it cant be that bad

well at least according to reviews .... hmmm
-------------------------
review 1:

Pros: This PS was ideal for my original dual core, 2GB (2.0v), 8800GTS setup in my Antec 900 case. It ran whisper quiet and never got hot. Once I added a second 8800GTS card and 2 more GB of RAM, I heard the PS kick in to high gear and warm up some, but it is still working and none of my games have crashed. The second one is being powered from a non-dedicated line.
Cons: None that I can tell for any PS in this price/wattage range.
Other Thoughts: This PS is a beast, and even looks cool. However, I would suggest those doing an SLI setup look for more power. I plan on upgrading my PS to the Thermaltake 700w SLI because I want 2 dedicated +12v rails and I don't want my PS in high gear. But as you see, I stuck with Thermaltake. ;)

review 2:

Pros: Reasonably priced. Quiet.

Cons: The description of this item is misleading. ""The Thermaltake TR2 (W0093RU) is a 500 Watt power supply unit ideal for high-end multi-card systems"" is what it says here, but Thermaltake says ""The TR2 is a budget power supply meant for simple office computers. I would suggest something from out Toughpower series."" A ""high end"" multi-card system probably needs more than one PCI-X power connector.

Other Thoughts: This works great with an X2 4200+ and a 7600GT. I was aware that it may not be powerful enough for an 8800GTS 320, but I thought I would give it a shot based on the description here. Once I hooked up the 8800GTS it worked fine but the PSU got really hot and the fan was on full blast, which is pretty loud. I emailed Thermaltake if this was OK and the PSU requirents for the 8800GTS and this was the response: "The TR2 is a budget power supply meant for simple office computers. I would suggest something from out Toughpower series." I'm totally fine with that (and I did order a 700W Toughpower which is great), but the description here on NewEgg is misleading. I emailed Thermaltake back about the NewEgg description and did not recieve a response.

seems to work fine for them

my current psu cost £25 and its an EZcool 500w psu it says it has 12vrail 36 amps and it handles my pc fine though i hardly think this is correct ...

according to this http://forums.******.com/showthread.php?t=19525 it should be able to handle a 8800gt or gts
