GX-101-SP Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO² 256MB DDR3

how could i do better should i just get the fx60 chip as well?

it depends what you want, if you were to get the FX60 improve Gcard cause the rest of your system is really really really nice but the Gcard is only quite nice lol

Just to point out, you're buying an ATi Card and an SLi board... Maybe you should look at some Nvidia cards so that you have space for an extra one. As for the fx60... why dont you just keep the 170, but put that money you were gonna put towards the fx60 and get something like 2x 7800gtx :)

edit: Or change the motherboard and get an X1900XT-X?

im not palning on going sli as i use my xbox 360 for games i just want a good fast system to decode videos adn watch dvds on my dell 24 inch tft

Opti - good choice clock it above an fx60. Or if you really want to spend more money look around and you'll be able to find the opti 175 (2.2ghz) & 180 (2.4ghz). Still cheaper than the fx60 and the 180 i've heard will go to 3.5ghz on air.

I haven't heard anything about people clocking the FX60 yet, but I bet it won't do 3.5ghz on air :D

BTW the 175 is around £450 and the 180 is about £600

Erm i doubt it. There was a guy struggling to get 3.4 on a VapoChill!
