Well it's that time again.
Time to start thinking about a new PC and this year it's a little different and scarier.

As I am currently not based in the UK anymore (China) I need to be absolutely sure the components I've decided on will fit happily and work well together.
Soooooo......

And of course there'll be a case, optical drive, blah blah blah....
(And yes, I'm getting them from a local website, not shipping all the way from the UK :) )

So what do you think ?
Any glaring errors or things I could do better ?

Cheers

RJC, is there any need for quad-cores currently for general PC shenanigans (movie watching, the occasional gaming session, internet stuff, maybe the odd encoding job here and there ?

I think that 2 faster cores would make more sense ?
Of course I could be horribly wrong :)

As I mentioned, its just going to be basic usage.
* Watching stuff in HD
* Gaming now and then (like bi-yearly)
* Interwebz
* Occasional music/video conversaion and editing

As you can see, nothing too fancy. I just don't want to see the PC 'chug' at least for like 12-18 months :)

Ok, you've all twisted my arm.... i5 650 becomes an i5 760 :)

Not sure I can afford to shell out for an SSD yet though lejimster.
Maybe they'll come down a bit by the time I purchase in a month or so ?
WHO KNOWS !!! :D
